environments. The content of chromium and molybdenum makes the alloy have
excellent resistance to the pitting caused by chloride ions, and the high nickel
content enhances the resistance of the alloy to chloride stress corrosion
cracking.

This material is highly formable and easier to weld than many nickel-based
alloys. Even in the as-welded condition, the alloy remains resistant to
intergranular corrosion.
