I recently had the chance to build my very own DIY 3D printer. I am so excited to share what I have accomplished with you! My first creation is a simple bookshelf with an attached shelf that holds books.
The process was simple and quick. I simply found a 3D printer at a local electronics store, took out a few screws, and powered up the printer. Then, I attach the bookshelf as shown below.

Once you have attached the bookshelf, open up the printer and press on the “Print” button. The parts will come out of the and begin to print.
Next thing is to carefully follow the instructions provided by the manufacturer. These instructions may vary depending on the model of your printer and the type of material used.
I used wood chips as the primary materials, but other types of wood can also work just fine. To start the process, take a piece of wood and mark the center with a pin.
Then, heat up a small amount of water in a pot. Place the wooden piece under the hot water and wait for the wood to cool down.
After the wood has cooled, lay it flat on the machine. In order to ensure accuracy, use a level and a measuring tape to measure the depth of each plane. Next, carefully turn the print head so that the wood is aligned properly.
Finally, remove the board from the machine and gently lift it off the bed. Once the board is removed, you should see a consistent pattern printed across the wood. You may need to adjust the pressure and speed settings of the printer if necessary.
